Does PokerStars have rakeback?

The wording needs care. A PokerStars help page says the site does not offer rakeback as a traditional player reward method, and points visitors toward PokerStars Rewards instead. At the same time, its official Rewards page uses the language of getting a percentage of rake and fees back. Both statements make sense when you separate a fixed external rakeback agreement from the room's internal loyalty scheme.

How the chest program works

Players earn reward points from eligible real-money poker activity. When enough points are collected, a progress bar unlocks a chest. The value depends on the chest level. The published program has multiple regular tiers, plus Select and Select+ benefits for qualifying high-volume players in eligible markets. Rates and qualifying thresholds can differ by market.

The amount a casual player receives from an occasional chest is not the same as a rate reserved for a higher-volume tier. Look at the chest requirements you can realistically complete rather than multiplying your expected fees by the highest advertised percentage.

A monthly check

Use redeemed value, not points alone

Suppose you generate $120 in eligible fees and redeem $21 in rewards. The observed return is 17.5%. If the next chest is not completed before a reset, unredeemed progress should not be counted as cash already received.

When points reset

PokerStars publishes a rolling 28-day progression mechanism with reset or level-change rules. Those details matter for someone whose poker activity is irregular. A week away from the table can make a published tier less attainable than the top-line number suggests.

Check location and account status

Regional PokerStars domains and licensed markets may show different loyalty terms. Use the rewards page for your own account and confirm any tier status in the client. Older third-party "PokerStars rake back" coupon pages are not substitutes for current official rules.

Published regular chest percentages

The English-language PokerStars Rewards page currently publishes six standard reward levels. These are quoted program percentages for the relevant chest levels, not a promise that every player will retain the level or finish the progress bar.

High-volume Select is a separate tier

The same official page gives PokerStars Select a qualification threshold of $50,000 in rake or tournament fees over a rolling 12 months, with 50% daily cash rewards. Select+ has a published $100,000 threshold, with 60% for selected formats and 50% for others. These numbers are not representative targets for casual players. Local account eligibility and ongoing status rules still apply.
